About Akar Asia

We are a multi-disciplinary consultancy firm supporting Sustainable Development Goals in Malaysia and Asia Pacific. We provide consulting services in sustainable development management and policy for government agencies, private sector, and non-governmental organisations, specialising in programme and project planning and evaluation.

We are professionals with experience working with the international development agencies (UNITED NATIONs, ADB, World Bank, USAID etc), government agencies and private sector and have expertise and experience in economics, business, social sciences and engineering.

We have associated partners in Cambodia, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Myanmar, Nepal, India, Timor-Leste, Papua New Guinea. We are able to handle and understand various stakeholders’ perspective and conduct consultation within the given timeframe to provide concise content and design that meets the need of the stakeholders. We are well aware of the diversity, dynamics, issues and challenges in the sustainable development trajectory of developing countries.
